The test came back positive for Cancer BUT it's only very small at the moment, about 5 millimetres, So mum will go in to hospital in the next couple of weeks for pre operation tests, then she will get the lump taken out and some radiation therapy. While I'm still shocked that it IS cancer I'm not worried about that in itself as I genuinely feel that that part will sort itself out okay as it was caught early enough. But I am worried about how my mum will cope with going into the hospital as she sufferers from sickness and yucky bowel stuff when she gets nervous and worrying. But will keep you all up to date with her progress. And thank you all for the good wishes.
Update: She's going in this Tuesday for the pre-op stuff. And we have named her Tumour Tony as in Tony Soprano.

Okay so this is where we're at....

1 So say we all:
So sorry to hear this, Laura, but,as I said in my earlier comment, so many women get this and come through just fine. The treatment isn't the most pleasant, I believe, but they've caught it early.
It sounds as if the hospitalisation will be traumatic for her, but the only consolation is that she'll get used to it. Jenny used to be terrified of needles, but after having so many attempts to get blood samples from her (mostly unsuccessful) she's quite an old hand at it.
Please give your mum my very best wishes. (I don't suppose she'll be feeling like FaceBook at the moment.)
